For a moment, Jen went rigid. Sean? No, he’s locked up, right? Plus, he has a key. Duh! When the doorbell rang again, she decided she had to open it. Putting on the security chain, she cracked open the door to find a familiar-looking woman standing on her doorstep. Not someone she knew, but definitely recognized.

“Hi, I’m Kristy Carlsson, a reporter from CKCT television in the city. I was wondering if I could speak to Sean Green.”

“No, you can’t. He’s not here.” Yet another twist in an already bizarre day. Jen needed to shut this down, so made to close the door.

“No, wait. We’ve seen the video, and it’s going viral, but no-one really knows what’s happening in it or why. Was Sean really arrested at work, or was he just taken in for questioning? What’s the charge or the case that they’re interested in? Is he still in police custody? Is that why he’s not here?”

Apparently, Kristy Carlsson had a lot of questions and was not going away without answers. Jen wanted to give them to her, if only to get rid of the woman. She thought better of it, though.

“I don’t think I should discuss the case with anyone. Plus, I suspect you can find out the facts with or without me.”

“Yes, of course. I just want the story to do my job and thought this might be the quickest way to get…
