Louise Foerster tagged this story as fiction. However, it feels more like an inspiration to me. That’s why I’m starting off this week with this interesting piece that will make you think.

It was the title of this next piece that caught my eye, being an autoimmune sufferer myself. Eldon Arkinstall has created the imagined hell that goes on in such bodies. Some days it feels exactly like a war!

This next story by Lee S. Bruce is hard to categorize. It is about family and love, also belief in oneself. But it is also slightly fantastical, whimsical and with a touch of humour thrown in. I just enjoyed it!

Next up, this is not really a horror story, however, this is my nod to Halloween this week. Zachary Seda captures a glimpse of a dystopian future that could easily become reality. It’s the stuff of which my nightmares are made!

Finally, a poem by Kyrie Gray, which had me laughing from the subtitle onwards. Let’s face it though, the brooding hero is why we read romance, right? I’ve even met one or two in real life (though they turned out to be more like Brooding Zeros!)

Also, a little shameless self-promotion…
